MICROSURGERY

Microsurgery is used in plastic surgery for implantation of a body segment, amputee, which may be a finger, hand, ear, etc., requiring only some conditions such as proper conservation and transfer of the patient and the amputated segment to a Microsurgery center. At the center, the amount of damage suffered to both sides of the amputation will be assessed, also the age of the patient, and the presence of diseases previously suffered and any other conditions tailored to each patients individual case. We find another area where Microsurgery techniques are applied: Tissue Transfers. For example, a toe transplanted to a hand, at present reconstructions like this are not common in many parts of our country. However, the results trained professionals achieve are surprising. It is possible to reconstruct the absence of structures with Microsurgery, in a manner equally effective. It is an extremely broad scope of Microsurgery in plastic surgery. Currently we can reconstruct a series of structures and organs that, just a few years ago, were carried out by painful treatments that had a limited the scope.
